Established in 2008, the Zayed Sustainability Prize is the UAE's pioneering global award that honors the legacy of the nation's founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The Prize recognizes and rewards innovative, impactful, and inspirational sustainability solutions across various sectors, aiming to drive sustainable development and humanitarian impact worldwide.

Eligibility

  • Health, Food, Energy, Water, and Climate Action Categories:
  • Innovation: The solution should demonstrate a clear and innovative approach to addressing sustainability challenges.
  • Impact: Applicants must provide evidence of positive and tangible outcomes resulting from their solution.
  • Inspiration: The initiative should inspire others and have the potential for replication and scalability.
  • Global High Schools Category:
  • Student Involvement: Projects must be led by students, with active participation in both planning and implementation.
  • Sustainability Focus: Proposals should address sustainability challenges in areas such as health, food, energy, water, or climate action.
  • Regional Representation: Schools from six global regions—The Americas, Europe & Central Asia, Middle East & North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and East Asia & Pacific—are eligible to apply.
