Innovations Against Poverty (IAP) is a challenge fund managed by SNV in partnership with Inclusive Business Sweden and BoP Innovation Center. IAP encourages the private sector to develop innovative products, services, and business models that contribute to the fight against poverty and climate change. The program supports companies in creating inclusive business models that integrate low-income communities into their value chains, aiming for scalable and commercially viable solutions.
Eligibility
- Business Registration: Legally registered enterprises operating in Cambodia, Ethiopia, Uganda, or Zambia.
- Co-Investment Capability: Ability to match at least 51% of the total project cost through cash or in-kind contributions.
- Innovation Focus: Projects should present innovative products, services, or business models that address challenges faced by low-income communities.
- Commercial Viability: Demonstrated potential for scalability and financial sustainability.
- Social Impact: Clear benefits to low-income populations, either by providing access to essential goods and services or by integrating them into the value chain as suppliers, distributors, retailers, or customers.
