Founded in 2008 by Okendo Lewis-Gayle, the Harambe Entrepreneur Alliance is a U.S.-based network of young African entrepreneurs committed to building sustainable and innovative solutions across the continent. The Alliance collaborates with leading academic institutions and corporations to provide its members, known as Harambeans, with access to funding, scholarships, and a robust support ecosystem. Notable partners include Cisco Systems, the Oppenheimer Generations Foundation, the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Yale School of Management, and Saïd Business School. The Alliance supports young African innovators and entrepreneurs who are: Committed to Africa's Development: Individuals dedicated to creating impactful solutions addressing the continent's challenges. Aspiring to Scale Ventures: Entrepreneurs seeking to grow their businesses and expand their reach across Africa. Collaborative in Nature: Those willing to engage with a network of like-minded peers and partners to foster collective growth.
