LoftyInc Capital Management

LoftyInc Capital Management is a Lagos-based venture capital firm founded in 2017 that backs early-stage African startups building tech-enabled solutions for the “everyday economy.” The firm has evolved from its initial pre-seed focus to now targeting late-seed and Series A companies across Africa. Over the past decade, LoftyInc has invested over $25 million into more than 200 of Africa’s fastest-growing enterprises, including three unicorns (Flutterwave, Andela, and Wave). The firm has attracted approximately $1.5 billion in follow-on funding into its portfolio companies and has realized 14 exits, achieving an impressive 5.7x net DPI on its LoftyInc Afropreneurs Fund 2.

In March 2025, LoftyInc announced the first close of its third fund, LoftyInc Alpha, at $43 million. This fund has backing from development finance institutions, including the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Proparco, Dutch development bank FMO, AfricaGrow, and First Close Partners. Other limited partners include sovereign wealth funds from Egypt (MSMEDA) and Tunisia (Anava Fund of Funds), European family offices, and African high-net-worth individuals.
The firm has built an extensive ecosystem spanning tech hubs, angel networks, and talent platforms. LoftyInc differentiates itself by providing more than capital—offering market access, business development support, operational expertise, and investor matchmaking to portfolio companies.
