8F Asset Management is a Singapore-based private equity firm founded in 2016 that specialises in impact investing through sustainable aquaculture production. The firm manages private equity funds that invest in vertically integrated aquaculture production and processing facilities utilising land-based Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) technology, with a focus on creating material positive social and environmental impact. Headquartered in Singapore with global offices in Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, London, Frankfurt, New York, Tel Aviv, and Tokyo, 8F Asset Management maintains a strong international presence to source optimal investment opportunities across diverse markets. The firm is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and holds a Capital Markets Services Licence.

Each facility typically requires approximately two years to construct, with Atlantic salmon reaching market size within 18 months.

8F Asset Management’s first fund, 8F Aquaculture Fund I, raised US$358 million at final closing in 2020, exceeding initial targets. The fund has deployed capital across multiple continents, including a landmark US$250 million investment in Lesotho to build Africa’s first land-based RAS salmon farm. This facility is scheduled for completion by 2023, will generate 250 jobs, operate entirely on renewable energy, and provide one million free salmon meals annually to local schools and orphanages for the first decade. Additionally, 8F established an aquaculture education programme at the National University of Lesotho with 15 internships at global locations.
